Quilt should be hand-washed only and laid flat to dry. Once it’s partially dry (not heavy as the stitches may be pulled apart), it may be hung up. Fresh air and sunshine are healthy for this piece, but with limited time, as the sun can damage the fabric.
If it is stored or displayed folded, it’s best to fold in a different direction on occasion to prevent damage to the material.
Keep away from direct sunlight for extended periods of time, as this can result in fading.
